Before analyzing Iran’s economy we will look at the overall state of the country. Iran is one of the largest countries in the Middle East. The territory of Iran is 1.6 million square meters, while the population is more than 80 million people. The territory of the country is divided into districts (ostans). The biggest ostans are located in the south of the country: Balajustan, Kirman, Isfahan, Fars, and Khorasan.
