The parties in a democratic state must be internally democratic so as to produce democracy in the country and in the whole society during the exercise of political power. Political parties in Albania have closely followed the creation of the Albanian state and its path of consolidation. Their internal organization has reflected their origin and the predominant ideology of the time. But the most important determinant factor has beenthe Albanian context itself with its history, culture, norms and values.
