Description
The position of a person against whom criminal proceedings are conducted is most often linked to the concept of fair trial, and to the standards of this right which constitute the key aspect of every court procedure. However, the rights of the persons in criminal procedures are not exhausted solely in “classical“ court procedures, but they rather make a lot broader aspect of human rights, which are protected through the application of standards contained within the framework of other concepts of human rights. The application of appropriate standards greatly depends on the stage of criminal procedure, on the reasons for which certain person is subject to criminal procedure, his/her personal features and other elements that make every single case a specific one.
